Overview of the expedition

Puerto Madryn

Group meeting in Puerto Madryn, followed by the official welcome dinner in the evening.

Puerto Pirámides

Transfer to our expedition house in Puerto Pirámides, where we prepare for the following days at sea.

04 – 05

Land exploration

After our morning boat trips, those who still have energy can join the afternoon outings to explore the surrounding nature.

06 – 07

Sailing and diving

Eight days dedicated to discovering, observing and exploring one of the homes of the ocean giants.

08

End of the expedition

As is customary, on the previous evening we share a final dinner to farewell the expedition participants.

Discover Argentine Patagonia

In addition to our ocean activities, we will explore different landscapes and locations across Patagonia by private vehicle in the afternoons.

Puerto Pirámides

This small coastal village is located on the Valdés Peninsula, overlooking the waters of Golfo Nuevo in Argentine Patagonia. It is known for its impressive landscapes, sandy beaches and cliffs, and is one of the world’s best places to observe southern right whales between June and December.

El Doradillo

It is famous for offering some of the world’s closest shore-based sightings of southern right whales, particularly between June and October, when mothers arrive with their calves in the calm waters of Golfo Nuevo.

Punta Ninfas

This remote corner of the Argentine Patagonian coast is known for its imposing cliffs, wild landscapes and historic lighthouse overlooking Golfo Nuevo. It is an ideal place to observe marine wildlife, especially elephant seals, sea lions and coastal birds. The power of the ocean shapes an authentic Patagonian landscape.

Sea lion colony

Hundreds of sea lions gather on the beaches and rocky formations of this natural setting, creating a remarkable display of sound, behavior and wildlife. The area offers a close view of colony life amid the distinctive coastal landscapes of Argentine Patagonia.

Valdés Peninsula

It is one of Patagonia’s most important nature reserves. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is known for its arid landscapes, wild coastline and exceptional biodiversity, including southern right whales, orcas, penguins, elephant seals, sea lions and a wide variety of birds.

Kayaking with whales

Kayaking alongside whales in the waters of the Valdés Peninsula is one of the most remarkable ways to connect with Patagonian nature. Moving quietly across Golfo Nuevo, you can observe southern right whales at close range in their natural habitat.

Expedition guide

Visiting the home of one of the ocean’s most intelligent animals is a true honor. Having the opportunity to spend time with local guides and residents who have dedicated much of their lives to studying whales is a genuine privilege.
My greatest passions are underwater photography, exploring the ocean and understanding animals. I dedicate much of my time to discovering natural environments and practicing different adventure sports.
